Summer hits its final stretch and August doesn't slow down one bit. Kuna Days kicks things off with one of the biggest small-town blowouts in the valley, San Inazio wraps its Basque Block celebration, and the Boise Soul Food Festival and Nampa Festival of the Arts fill the first full weekend. Ford Idaho Center's amphitheater goes into overdrive with a stacked run of national touring acts, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival swaps Sweeney Todd for The Winter's Tale, and rodeo season reaches its peak with the Caldwell Night Rodeo, one of the top-ranked PRCA rodeos in the country. Independence Day kicks off one of the busiest months on the Treasure Valley calendar and this year, it comes with a milestone: America's 250th Birthday. Parades, fireworks, and patriotic celebrations roll across the region, from Boise and Meridian to Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Melba, and everywhere in between.
